Your leader gets curly after sitting on your fly reel between fishing trips.
This will keep you from seeing and feeling bites from fish, especially when fishing sub-surface flies.

Straightening your leader before you get on the water helps alleviate these problems.

To use it, pinch the leader between the flaps, then slide the tool down the line.
Don't pinch too hard or you will overheat the leader.  Repeat until your leader is straight
