Damselfly nymphs must taste really good, because this fly is a Bluegill and Crappie killer. And it has repeatedly taken large Bass, Catfish and Walleye!

Bill calls this damselfly nymph pattern 'The Reaper' because it has taken so many fish to his 'frying pan grave' (though he releases 99.9% of the fish he catches.)

It is one of the most productive flies on this site. (It's also the star of the Parker Flies Logo at the top left corner of this page.) It is available here in several natural colors. The olive version might double as a baitfish fry in a pinch.
